Kifahari means elegant in the language of the Swahili people. It is one of the most widely spoken African languages and includes many other languages, making it one of the most inclusive African languages. In our name, Kifahari represents elegance and inclusiveness.
Each Kifahari Collection piece is elegantly crafted with bold colours, cultural diversity and deep confidence, in knowing who we are. It brings to the world vigour, boldness, charm and the beauty of Africa.
Over the years, I have had the great privilege of travelling to most parts of Africa. I saw the beauty of our people, the elegance of our women, and was mesmerized by the traditional cloths I saw all around me. I started buying these fabrics and designing pieces for myself and my sister. I would regularly be stopped by women at malls; airports; restaurants; all admiring my bags. This privilege then became my responsibility, to bring the elegance and beauty of Africa to the world, and that’s how Kifahari Collection graces and compliments women all over the world.
